I served as a Senior Policy Consultant with DNV’s Markets services. I was tasked with guiding and overseeing policy and regulatory research and insight on emerging energy topics and issues like clean energy, environmental and climate justice, and energy equity and security. I worked closely with DNV’s directors to develop the team’s policy strategy and ensure all policy and regulatory research products meet high standards and accuracy. I assisted with policy and regulatory research and support, quantitative and economic analysis, and technical analysis. Key tasks included :

Research And Policy Analyst
I provided direction, instructions and guidance to a small team working on issues involving lead poisoning in children. I oversaw projects and supervised the day-to-day operations of the team, distributing workload evenly and making sure motivation and performance levels were maintained.
Reviewed child blood lead level data collected by the CDC and evaluated and analyzed the data to prioritize resources and propose interventions for high risk areas.
Provided outreach and education to state, local and federal organizations to increase awareness of lead hazards and how to address them.
Contacted health care providers and health care agencies to investigate missing or nonexistent blood lead level data. I collected and compiled data and other reports of children exposed to lead. Based on the data, the team conducted investigations into children's elevated blood level to determine cause and possible sources.
I assisted with multiple aspects of materials production for outreach and education. Publications included letters, briefings, flyers, brochures, pamphlets and case reports.
I developed strategies the team used to meet annual commitments in investigations, outreach, enforcement and audits.
Completed 30 investigations per year which accounted for 35% of all investigations processed by a team of 4 investigators.
