I worked for Chevron 25+ years in the oil and gas industry with 10 years in Information Security & Risk Management. I have been in the information technology group as an Information Risk Management coordinator. In the IRM role I guide the business unit in the proper protection of company data and appropriate use of technology systems and devices. I provide support, guidance, training and reinforcement for delivering clear and consistent information risk awareness programs to all personnel. My key deliverables are to ensure our workforce, customers and business partners have a clear understanding of why and how to protect our companys' data, but also why and how to protect their personal data. I administered, managed, provided support, guidance and training for the Information Risk Management and Data Privacy Programs. I monitored and maintained risk assessments and compliance status and adherence to policies, standards and technical controls.
