Directory Security and Services (Contract via Insight Global)
As an Active Directory Service Engineer, I am responsible for managing the day to day operations of a very large Active Directory Infrastructure which consists of multiple domains and forests. I work with other engineering and project teams with focus on the configuration, deployment, maintenance, and support of Active Directory. I build and troubleshoot Windows Server OS, Active Directory and DNS Services. When needed, I serve as a subject matter expert on our Windows and Active Directory Environment. I identify problems/issues as defined by our standards and track them accordingly in an incident management system. Routinely perform patching and break/fix work on our Domain Controllers. We communicate issues to impacted groups and departments.

MSIT - Active Directory Service Engineer (Vendor Insight Global)
My primary responsibilities as Lab Engineer are to assist in rolling out new deployment scenarios and projects and to provide support to our developers and testers for our automated testing platform and anything within our infrastructure. Our infrastructure needs to be dynamic enough to provide a multitude of scenarios in order to accommodate the variety of bug reproduction requirements. We had several Active Directory domains with a variety of trust levels. In addition, but not limited to, we supported the following systems : Remote via BMC/KVM/SSH, WDS/PXE, DHCP, WDS, Certificate Services, 50+ VLAN Subnets, hardware support on nearly 5000 devices, SQL, Hyper-V, VMWare, XEN, Equallogic SAN Storage, NetApp SAN Storage, NetApp Operations Manager, HP Storage Arrays, Compellent SAN Storage, iSCSI, FCoE, SCOM, SCDPM and PowerShell.

Lab Engineer (on contract from Inspur Worldwide Svc Ltd)
Our team (part of the System Center team) provides a simplified means for developers to test their projects, typically revolving around Hyper-V, Operations Manager and other System Center components. My primary responsibility is to ensure all of our hardware is up-to-date and functioning properly and our infrastructure services are up and running. In essence, I work as both tier 1 and tier 3 support. I take in requests from developers and testers to determine the priority. Less critical issues are escalated to tier 2 for our night team to take care of. If the issue was critical or if tier 2 was not able to resolve it, it would come back to me for resolution. Of course, really simple issues were handled immediately. We handle iSCSI, Fiber Channel, and FCoE for SAN connectivity. We manage PXE/WDS, DHCP, DNS and Active Directory running on a private domain for the lab. Our lab environment consists of about 1500 rack servers, 20 different SANs and some other unique equipment. We update firmware and make repairs on any device which needs it.

About
I enjoy working with technology and helping people through technical issues. I have worked with computers since I was about seven years old and will continue to do so until far beyond retirement. My primary experience lies within Windows environments, although version is no obstacle.
My primary expertise revolves around data-center management in the contexts of the physical servers, network devices and remote access abilities. I am strong with automation in PowerShell and other environments to simplify monitoring, standardize configuration and present detailed custom reports. I have experience in maintaining both key production environments and large lab environments.
My belief is that any outcome is possible, you just have to find the right path.
