Experience:
Provide advice and counsel to lines of business and corporate functions regarding applicable privacy and cyber security laws through various means including :
o privacy and security governance councils that are designed to counsel and educate senior leaders and information protection managers on privacy law issues and developments that impact their businesses,
o Developing and updating standards based on developments in privacy and security law,
o Representing privacy and cyber security law on business projects across the enterprise to ensure that the company is maintaining a consistent interpretation of applicable laws,
o Providing legal support to The Hartford’s Information Protection Group regarding the company’s security controls and meeting the requirements of applicable privacy and cyber security laws,
o Advising on privacy related contract language in both vendor and customer contracts,
o Advising on breach notification laws, and making legal determinations regarding the reportability of information incidents,

o Serving as a subject matter expert with respect to privacy and cyber security training and awareness, and
o Participating on cross-functional councils which address use of social media, enterprise-wide technology solutions, and use of mobile devices.

Managed all claim reporting to insurance brokers and carriers to protect Corporation's rights under procured insurance policies; placement of E&O insurance program; and technical oversight and management of workers’ compensation, commercial auto and general liability claims. Lead for placement of E&O insurance program and assisted on placement of insurance programs and renewals, including planning and strategy, policy language review and drafting.
