Experience:
Instructed Aspiring Cybersecurity Professionals : Delivered 1200+ hours of comprehensive lectures and labs, covering network security, system administration, incident response, threat intelligence, and more, guiding varying levels of students through practical and theoretical cybersecurity concepts. This was done using a virtualized and hands-on learning environment as a way to provide students the knowledge and experience for a career change. I collaboratively led workshops, facilitated discussions, and demoed security tools to enhance the learning experience and application of cybersecurity concepts. I provided students with guidance, mentoring, and personalized learning plans.
Strategic Leadership : Lead weekly meetings with my team of cybersecurity instructors to align on curriculum delivery and updates, instruction strategies, and accessing students equitably. Focused on instructional design and content differentiation in order to maximize learning opportunities to students with different backgrounds, learning styles, and levels of expertise.
Cross-Functional Collaboration : With our curriculum development team, I helped re-design and enhance the curriculum to accommodate a class size of 500+ students. I updated labs and assessments with clear language to ensure that ESL students’ needs are being met. Made sure that all curriculum content included the most current technologies used in cybersecurity.
Client Success : Tailored curriculum to specific client needs for differing enterprise engagements in order to meet client requests and needs. Delivered that curriculum in a way compatible with client environments and student population. Curated and delivered a curriculum unique to Amazon’s career choice program for students of varying educational and cultural backgrounds that has prompted Amazon to renew the contract multiple times over.
