About
Michael Darling is the Senior Director of Information Security at Venable. He has over 24 years of experience in physical security and cybersecurity operations and strategy.
His background includes the security and combat operations in the Marine Corps, security budgeting roles at the White House, leading strategy and international initiatives at the Department of Homeland Security’s Office of Cybersecurity and Communications (now called Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency), and consulting roles with PwC . He was involved in a range of cybersecurity policy initiatives, including the drafting of Executive Orders and legislation and been involved in the national response to high profile cybersecurity incidents. Michael has also led consulting projects to assist clients in sharing threat intelligence and reducing cybersecurity risk across a range of different industries including the financial sector, the U.S. tax system, healthcare sector, and defense and aerospace sectors.
