About
Mike Saurbaugh is the head of global strategic alliances at VMRay. Previously, Mike was the director, technical alliances at Cofense (formerly PhishMe). Mike is a Faculty member with IANS Research, and independent consultant. He was former head of cybersecurity and technical operations in financial services, and former Research Director at Security Current. Additionally, Mike is a mentor with RevTech Labs in Charlotte, NC, and is involved with several cybersecurity startups. With 20 years of experience in information technology and cybersecurity, Mike has worked in a variety of disciplines and leadership roles. Mike has held leadership positions in information security, eCommerce, technical operations and technology services. To name a few, Mike has led and implemented online banking and lending solutions, PCI, GRC, ISO 27001, DLP, web security gateway, threat prevention, change management, security awareness, and social engineering programs. Through the years Mike has provided several hundred cybersecurity advisory engagements for clients. In addition to authoring professional publications, Mike has conducted speaking engagements at dozens of security conferences.
Mike is CISSP, CISM, CRISC certified and holds a Master of Science in Information Assurance (MSIA) from Walsh College. In addition, Mike has obtained technical certificates from Rochester Institute of Technology and additional training from Carnegie Mellon University’s CERT/CC and the SANS Institute.
