How's that for a big list of hot topics? I will go grab my surfboard for the incoming wave of recruiter spam based on those keywords alone... Anywho I work here as part of a 4 person team, adjacent to the InfoSec team and software developers to make sure all the things are getting done.
2019 : 2019
Experience LLC
DevOps Engineer
Information Security here means creating all policy for HITRUST compliance, then performing all audits and putting systems in place for the certification. I am assisting HelpDesk with best practices and technology advice, network engineering with deployments in the cloud and their in-house network, Physical Security team with technology assistance and reviews, and Marketing with their adherence to strict Information Security practices.
2019 : 2019
Surterra Wellness
Manager of Information Security
Security compliance frameworks, internal audits of policy and procedure, DevOps coaching of internal development teams, system architecture on-prem and at AWS helping with cost containment strategies, a sprinkle of executive guidance, and a partridge in a pear tree.
This engagement was heavily focused on SOC2 compliance, enforcement, and audit preparation while also coaching existing technology staff on new methods and best practices that have developed outside of their box.
2018 : 2018
Streamline Studios
Information Security Auditor
I decided that I needed to work on my own skills, so I enrolled in a coder bootcamp. It was awesome. It affirmed that I am, in fact, not lying when I tell people I can learn anything. Don't take my word for it though, check out that github repo.
I have been running dev teams for years, it was a blast finally being on the other side of the wall and writing the code for projects I architected.

About
I have done everything over my 20 years of experience in Linux System Administration. Compliance frameworks like SOC2, Javascript and Python coding, heaps of automation for scale and reliability (DevOps), and a quite a lot of physical, virtual, and cloud administration experience (AWS). I have built teams, run my own startup, and engineered software and infrastructure for a diverse set of industries.
I strongly believe: Technology should serve us, free us, and enable improvements to our existence collectively. I have also been known to bake cookies, and race triathlons, though seldom at the same time.
Check out my skills and endorsements, and drop me a note. I can probably help you!
