Mr. Dixon is a results-oriented, high energy, hands-on cybersecurity and business professional with experience in a variety of industries including military, government, health care and finance. Over 20+ years of I.T./business experience has afforded him the opportunity to gain progressive knowledge, skills and abilities. Mr. Dixon's prior military and public service experience has enabled him to adapt and perform efficiently in any environment. In addition to his experience, he also bring commitment, dedication, and a can do attitude toward accomplishing any task.
Mr. Dixon has served as the IT systems security manager responsible for ensuring the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of systems implemented to detect fraud, waste and abuse of services provided by the U.S. Department of Health & Human Services. Playing a role in the implementation of the Affordable Care Act(ACA), Phillip managed the cybersecurity of over a dozen high-profile systems with an overall operating budget in excess of $200 million. Additionally, Phillip has led or consulted on cybersecurity systems oversight projects with the U.S. Department of Labor, Dept. of Homeland Security, FCC (E-Rate) and the U.S. Dept. of Education.
Mr. Dixon has also been a featured contributor for IEEE Potentials magazine and spotlighted in Secure Computing (SC Magazine) in connection with being the first awardee of the Holistic Executive CyberCorp doctoral scholarship at The George Washington University’s Graduate School of Education and Human Development.
In conjunction with Phillip’s academic background, he has also acquired multiple industry certifications including Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer (MCSE) Security specialization; CompTIA Network + and Security+ certified professional, and Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP).
