Information Security Officer for bp’s Castrol business, encompassing more than 5000 users, 20+ operational plants and business activity in over 75 countries.
Before this current role, Ross was the Information Security Officer for bp’s North America Gas & Power trading business (the largest energy trading business in North America) and its Digital Innovation Organisation.
Ross joined bp in February 2012 to bring information security subject matter expertise to its global Internal Audit function. As part of his role, he performed work at various bp sites around the World looking at corporate IT and industrial control systems.
Prior to joining bp, Ross worked at PwC where he was responsible for overseeing the delivery of a large internal and external audit client portfolio - assessing the management of IT risk and controls across their IT environments, supported by a team of managers and staff.
A highly experienced and respected professional with 21 years’ experience of assessing and auditing client information systems across a range of industries, including: automotive, central and local government, charities, higher education, consumer product manufacturing, insurance, oil and gas, leisure (hotels and travel), media (television, radio and newspaper), pharmaceutical, and retail.
He is known for developing strong working relationships through his open working style and willingness to listen and share knowledge and experience.
