About

Santiago is a Telecommunications engineer with a Master Degree in Cybersecurity, certified as Information Systems Auditor (CISA by ISACA). He is coursing a Master on Technology Management (MMoT).

He took executives certifications in cybersecurity in Hebrew University and Florida International University

He is Cybersecurity Specialist at the IDB, formerly he was the Director (and founder) of the National CERT at Uruguay (CERTuy, including the national SOC). Has managed many projects at the Uruguayan government, among the most important were: Deployment of the Government's Private Data Network, design and deployment of the Security System's of the egovernment and interoperability platform, design and implementation of the PKI Uruguay and national digital ID of Uruguay.



With more than 15 years of experience on IT and Mobile industry, he has managed projects on the private sector in Uruguay, Ghana, Pakistan, Puerto Rico and Belice and many international government cooperation at Panama, El Salvador and Ecuador via Uruguayan Government and OAS.

Member of IEEE Uruguay for more than 5 years been president of the GOLD group in Uruguay, and treasure Officer of IEEE chapter Uruguay. Co-author of the book Wireless Engineer Body of Knowledge (IEEE, ComSoc ISBN: 978-0-470-43366-9)
