As the person in charge of technology and support for Global Markets and Investment Banking divisions in San Francisco, my role involves overseeing all the technology and infrastructure necessary to support these departments.
To break it down further, the Global Markets division focuses on trading and sales of financial products, such as stocks and bonds, on a global scale. The Investment Banking division, on the other hand, deals with assisting clients with mergers and acquisitions, underwriting securities, and raising capital.
My responsibilities include managing the technology and infrastructure in San Francisco data centers. This includes the network, servers, telecommunications, and other essential systems like the heating and cooling systems (HVAC) and power backup (UPS).
