Anadarko Petroleum
SENIOR SYSTEM ADMINISTRATOR / CONSULTANT
Consulted and implemented numerous system integrations and process automations for the Windows Server Engineering Team. To accomplish this I wrote automation using PowerShell, VBS, .Net, and SharePoint. Here are a few of the larger undertakings :
o Developed a VB.NET System Center Operations Manager (SCOM) 2007 Connector for CA Service Desk that synchronized alerting and ticket creation between the two systems. Saving Devon $192K in 3rd party development fees.
o Create PowerShell scripts that allowed administrators the ability to interface with CA Service Desk via web API. This opened the door to advanced notifications, metrics, user questionnaires, and PowerShell interaction which brought down resolution times, customer satisfaction and eliminated tickets falling thought the cracks.
o Created a service which monitors Active Directory for user account changes and automatically remediates various location and name change issues. Such as home drive data migrations, mailbox moves, among other properties. Eliminating 99% of the work and time involved.
o Automated the process used to perform VMware “physical to virtual” (P2V) server migrations in an effort to minimize downtime and create a standardized procedure.
o Assist in the co-creation of several standards.
o Developed .NET and PowerShell automation for several other technologies such as SharePoint, WMI, NETSH, Active Directory, LDAP and exchange to assist in eliminating inefficiencies.
o Created several scripts that update and retrieve SharePoint data using SharePoint’s CAML programming language via PowerShell.
