I am responsible for developing relationships with IT decision makers and working with them to implement new solutions for cyber security, network security, storage, backups and more.
My primary focus is within cybersecurity, specifically the nature of users and policies that affect them. I work with the organization to improve the security awareness of their employees and develop strategy for how to create, change, and/or implement policies around that with the most success. The technology is important, but it's not the only way malicious actors can get in. It is also not the only aspect of regulations that are being enforced.
I foster relationships with applicable vendors to assist with increased cybersecurity as well as industry leaders. Cybersecurity is a field that is constantly changing and it takes a lot of reading and discussions to keep up to date.

Developing and implementing organizational strategies, policies and practices for the company to meet future growth plans. Determined the needs and desires of the team in training as well as process so the team can grow while performing at its best.
- Managed the completion schedule of security improvement projects for Non-Profit, Financial and Wealth Management clients and communicated all alterations, progress and schedules. Including but not limited to Firewall upgrades, DNS filtering and monitoring.
- Developed and strengthened client relationships including post implementation follow up and continued success with all IT solutions.
- Analyzed and prioritized the incoming requests to ensure all clients with a compliance need were taken care of quickly so as to not jeopardize compliance.
- Planning, preparation and management of approximately two email migrations per week from a variety of hosts to Microsoft 365 Exchange platform.
- Managed team of 15 in implementing Microsoft MDM and password expiration policies to increase cybersecurity after the client was on the Microsoft 365 platform.
- Collaborated with Vendors to negotiate price reductions for large and long term sales
- Initiated Change Management and Incident Reports process and documentation to meet 2016 SEC standards
- Established SLA system for approximately 350 clients taking into account size and industry in order to standardize service provided.
- Evaluated client satisfaction and suggested needed changes to Executive management.
- Implemented user training series for Cyber Security in the work place for approximately 15 clients including the Financial sector, nonprofit and Health Care.

Operations Manager
The Solutions Group is a dynamic IT consulting firm in the DC metro area. I supported 2 Executive staff in all planning. I learned a lot about how the business was run and all requirements to keep it running.
- Prepared invoices for approximately 350 clients on a bi-weekly basis and follow up with clients on overdue accounts and documenting all efforts in collections
- Kept a working schedule for Executives and coordinate all meetings and follow ups with approx. 350 clients
- Directed all Human Resources for the company including new hire paperwork, health insurance, 401K, sick and vacation day administration for 10 employees.

About
Whether my final product is a contract or a lasagna, I am continuously looking for new techniques for improvement. I am always ready to learn a new recipe, language or fact that can build on what I already know. I’ve learned that people are often the best source of new information and sitting on a patio with good people willing to share their experiences is the new and improved encyclopedia.
Efficiency is my top priority which is what led me to a career in IT and business processes. I enjoy the challenge of making a process run more smoothly with better outputs and use insight of the industry and specific company or project to find the best solution. I use my organization and proactive attitude to make sure that all my projects are completed on time and with a reliably high standard.
Teamwork and leadership are an integral part of high performance and require constant attention and improvement. I am especially interested in the different approaches to building trust on a team. Through my mentoring activities with MyOneDegree I have been able to use some of the team building approaches in a real world setting while also helping students reach their full potential.
Mentoring has also helped me improve my ability to translate complex issues into terms that are easily understood. This is something imperative in the IT world as most clients are not aware of the how or why a technology is recommended. I always strive to help others understand the “why” and the “why not” before moving forward on a project.
