Overview:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior IT Systems Administrator to lead the design, implementation, and integration of our enterprise infrastructure systems. This role will play a critical part in shaping our infrastructure strategy, driving cloud transformation, and overseeing site integrations across our global footprint. The ideal candidate is a strategic thinker with hands-on expertise in cloud platforms, hybrid environments, and enterprise systems.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the planning, deployment, and management of cloud infrastructure solutions, primarily using Microsoft Azure and AWS.
- Architect and implement hybrid cloud environments, ensuring seamless integration between on-premises and cloud systems.
- Oversee infrastructure components including domain servers, virtualization platforms, storage, messaging systems, and enterprise applications.
- Drive infrastructure modernization initiatives, including site integrations, data center migrations, and cloud adoption strategies.
- Monitor and optimize system performance, scalability, and cost-efficiency across all infrastructure layers.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to assess current infrastructure and develop migration strategies (e.g., lift-and-shift, re-platforming, refactoring).
- Ensure compliance with security policies and implement best practices for data protection and disaster recovery.
- Provide mentorship and technical leadership to junior administrators and project teams.
- Research and evaluate emerging technologies to enhance infrastructure capabilities and service delivery.
- Support end-user computing environments, including troubleshooting and resolving complex technical issues.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- 5+ years of hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure, including architecture, deployment, and optimization.
- Proven experience managing enterprise infrastructure in medium to large-scale environments.
- Strong knowledge of virtualization technologies (e.g., Hyper-V, VMware) and cloud-native services.
- Experience with site integration projects, including mergers, acquisitions, or global expansions.
- Proficiency in scripting and automation (e.g., PowerShell, Azure CLI).
- Excellent problem-solving, communication, and project management skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Certifications such as Azure Solutions Architect, AWS Certified SysOps Administrator, or Microsoft Certified: Windows Server Hybrid Administrator Associate.
- Experience with DevOps practices, CI/CD pipelines, and infrastructure as code (IaC).
- Familiarity with ITIL frameworks and enterprise service management tools.
