We are seeking a highly skilled System Administrator with a strong background in Linux systems, Python scripting, and infrastructure engineering to join our growing technology team. This role is onsite in Scottsdale, AZ, and will play a critical role in supporting server environments, managing system migrations, and driving automation and security across enterprise platforms.
Key Responsibilities
- Build and deliver Oracle Enterprise Linux and Ubuntu systems.
- Support storage, server, and database migration initiatives.
- Conduct root cause analysis (RCA) for major incidents and system outages.
- Write and maintain scripts using Python (7+ years required), Shell, and Perl.
- Apply and validate OS patches for security and performance.
- Document system build procedures and propose enhancements.
- Align system solutions with IT best practices and compliance standards.
- Deploy and support backend infrastructure with high availability and scalability in mind.
Must-Have Skills & Qualifications
- 7+ years of hands-on development and scripting experience in Python.
- Proficiency in Shell and Perl scripting languages.
- Strong experience with Linux system administration, particularly Oracle Enterprise Linux and Ubuntu.
- Knowledge of OS patching, system hardening, and infrastructure lifecycle management.
- Proven track record in performing root cause analysis (RCA) and remediating complex issues.
- Ability to document standard operating procedures and support engineering transparency.
Nice-to-Have
- Experience with infrastructure automation tools (e.g., Ansible, Puppet, or Chef).
- Familiarity with containerization or virtualization technologies.
- Background working in high-availability or enterprise cloud environments.
