As part of the Financial Improvement Audit Remediation (FIAR) team, you will be implementing audit practices, standards and regulation requirements. Experiment with internal audits and process improvement to identify financial control issues and gaps. As a result, create Correction Action Plans (CAPs) and develop innovative approaches to improve financial information.You will be a key player in providing stakeholders with financial and business process analysis to make informed operational and strategic decisions; measuring historical performance, short and long-term strategic planning, evaluating current and future opportunities and risks, highlighting issues and strengths in the business, and clearly communicating the most relevant financial information to management.

BASIC REQUIREMENTS
- Interim Security Clearance
- Bachelor’s Degree
- 4+ years’ accounting or financial experience, including supervising and directing efforts of staff Financial statement audit experience or preparation of assertion packages
- A minimum of 20 CPE credits each fiscal year and 120 CPE credits over a three-year rolling period
- Experience performing financial statement audits and/or assessments
- Familiarity with DoD and Air Force financial management policies and procedures
- Ability to follow a testing check-list and conduct internal testing of Assessable Units. This position does not require prior experience with testing, but this individual must have basic analytical skills and strong attention to detail to be able to identify discrepancies and report findings
BONUS REQUIREMENTS (preferred)
- GAAP / GAGAS / ICOFR experience
- Familiarity with JOCAS and FMS CPA, CIA, CISA, CDFM, or CGFM
- OMB Circulars A-123, A-127, A-134, A-136 and other OMB policies
- FASAB, SSAC, and SFFAS experience
