The Risk Advisory Services Senior Consultant contributes at the tactical level, supporting the Supervisor in delivering client work efficiently and accurately. You will be given progressively complex assignments, and will take on greater responsibility and autonomy as you demonstrate readiness. You will primarily focus on executing assigned tasks and you will support the Supervisor in meeting the firm’s strategic and operational objectives.

What you will do:
• Plan and implement engagement strategy in accordance with firm guidance, coordinate on-site or remote daily work efforts, assist with engagement management activities, oversee staff, and review completion of fieldwork
• Prepare concise and accurate documents to complete related project deliverables and support the engagement leader in the delivery of final client deliverable, as well as maintenance of project deliverables
• Review work and that of others for quality, accuracy and relevance
• Develop audit programs and testing work papers and ensure that assignments are accomplished within the budgeted time
• Review and prepare reports for suitability of presentation
• Begin to supervise staff on engagements and demonstrate an ability to assume full responsibility for directing engagements and special assignments
• Provide candid, meaningful feedback in a timely manner to team members, when necessary
• Follow the progress of engagements and help resolve issues as they arise
• Keep managers and engagement leadership informed of progress and issues
• Delegate and collaborate effectively with others to provide stretch opportunities and coach associates to help deliver results
• Work with existing processes and systems whilst identifying and making constructive suggestions for improvements and proposing innovative solutions when problems and/or opportunities arise
• Develop and share relevant thought leadership throughout the year
• Work on building and developing internal relationships and your PBMares brand
• Create relationship opportunities with clients and non-clients to expand our practice, and learn how to interact with prospects
• Keep up-to-date with local and national business and economic issues, especially within relevant client industries
• Keep up to date with technical developments in area of specialization
Position Requirements:
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance
• 2 or more years of relevant experience
• CPA, CIA, or CISA eligible or ability to obtain within 1 year of hire
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Organization skills with influencing skills / leadership potential
• Basic auditing skills
• Interpersonal and business communication skills – verbal and written
• Analytical and problem-solving skills
• Demonstrate progressive ability to work independently requiring less and less supervision
• Proficiency with technology including at a minimum Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint
• Flexibility to travel to out-of-town engagements
