Job Description
Wells Fargo’s Corporate Controllers is a seeking a highly motivated individual to join the Accounting and General Ledger Operations team to continue the team’s efforts in developing and maintaining governance processes related to regulatory reports filed by the Company. The Accounting and General Ledger Operations team includes functions that directly impact and prepare SEC and regulatory reporting, including Basel III calculation and reporting, in addition to managing the general ledger, GL core tools and Essbase.
This position comprises a wide ranging group of activities to further build out the governance processes associated with the Company’s Basel calculation and reporting of the FFIEC 101 schedules, as well as other regulatory reports. Specific responsibilities / duties to include:
Partner with a team of professionals to build on the existing governance structure surrounding the Basel calculation and reporting processes including related technology infrastructure.
Ensure compliance with the Wells Fargo Regulatory Reporting Governance & Oversight Framework and other relevant policies. This includes evaluating and updating documentation developing, executing, monitoring and evaluating testing efforts and remediation plans ensuring timelines are met and reporting internal control related issues to management.
Serve as a key resource to the Basel calculation and reporting team by advising on Wells Fargo governance requirements, including assisting in the implementation of control requirements and serving as a subject matter expert on risk and controls.
Serve as a technical leader in evaluating process breaks and control deficiencies across the team, assessing the impact to the integrity of data, and advising and assisting in remediation.
Participating in other related projects as needed.

Qualifications
Some travel required (< 10%).
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:
2+ years in compliance or operational risk mgmt. (includes audit, legal, credit risk, market risk, or the management of a process or business with accountability for compliance or operational risk) and 2+ years in one or more of the following: compliance, operational risk mgmt., IT systems security, business process mgmt. or financial services, or a Bachelor''s or advanced degree in business or economics.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
2+ years direct, relevant and recent audit and/or risk and compliance or related work experience
Preparation or testing/auditing of regulatory reports
Strong understanding of internal controls
Strong organization and prioritization skills
Strong analytical skills with a high level of accuracy
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Experience with bank regulatory reporting requirements, including working knowledge of regulatory filings such as the FR Y-9C, FR 14M & Q, FFIEC 031/041, and FFIEC 101
Experience with Basel Advanced Approach (FFIEC 101)
Big 4 audit or consulting experience
Experience with large financial institutions
BA/BS in accounting, finance or economics
CPA, CIA, CISA or other relevant certification
