Job Title: Information Services Systems Administrator

The Information Services Systems Administrator is responsible for maintaining and optimizing the daily operations of our organization's IT systems, networks, servers, and applications. This critical role ensures secure and efficient technology infrastructure and provides advanced-level support for end-users.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
System Administration, Engineering, and Provisioning:
- Design and implement effective solutions for system administration needs, aligning with organizational goals and project timelines.
- Install, configure, maintain, and optimize servers and related IT infrastructure in line with best practices.
- Develop and maintain detailed documentation for installation, configuration, and ongoing system management.
- Ensure adherence to established IT standards and procedures.
- Identify, recommend, and implement innovative approaches for system administration and automation.
Operations and Support:
- Monitor daily system health, ensuring high availability and performance of hardware, servers, networks, and core IT processes.
- Review system and application logs, verifying successful completion of routine tasks, including backups.
- Conduct regular security audits and monitoring to proactively detect and mitigate potential security threats.
- Oversee and validate backup and disaster recovery operations.
- Provide advanced-level technical support for escalated issues, troubleshooting effectively and efficiently.
- Communicate and coordinate incident management and recovery efforts with stakeholders.
Preferred (but not required) Experience with SharePoint:
- Familiarity with administering Microsoft SharePoint environments, including configurations, user permissions, and integrations.
- Ability to collaborate with stakeholders to identify SharePoint needs and potential solutions.
Maintenance:
- Apply regular operating system patches, upgrades, and manage administrative tools and utilities.
- Maintain and enhance system software supporting Microsoft technologies, including Citrix, HDMS, and other key business applications.
- Document and maintain accurate configuration details and operational procedures.
- Generate and analyze performance reports to support strategic planning and capacity management.
- Perform ongoing performance tuning, hardware and software upgrades, and resource optimization.
- Manage and monitor data center environmental controls to maintain optimal system performance and reliability.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field preferred.
- 5-8 years of experience in system administration and network management.
- Proven expertise with Microsoft technologies, Citrix, and related infrastructure.
- Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills with a proactive approach to problem-solving.
- Excellent documentation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and projects in a dynamic environment.
