Experience:
- 5+ years of Windows server administration, including experience with 3+ years administering Windows 2016 and newer;
- 3+ years of Microsoft Azure/Cloud and AWS experience
- 5+ years of Active Directory, Domain Name System (DNS), Group Policy administration experience in an enterprise environment with 1,000 or more users;
- 3+ years of Linux server experience;
- Experience writing, testing, and executing PowerShell scripts;
Responsibilities:The Enterprise Systems Administrator will serve as the principal line of communication for the project team. The duties and responsibilities of this position are as follows:
- Perform Microsoft Azure Entra ID and Active Directory management activities;
- Develop and maintain processes that optimize Microsoft server and Azure resources;
- Develop, deploy, and maintain processes that optimize Amazon Web Services (AWS) services and resources;
- Analyze Azure resource performance to identify resource contention and recommend changes or upgrades as needed to ensure optimization;
- Develop and maintain technical specifications, standards, procedures, and systems documentation;
- Work with data center staff, OIT, and users to perform resource deployments, upgrades, and configuration changes;
- Administer and configure Azure infrastructure security as needed for OIT staff and users;
- Assist Azure application owners/administrators and users with appropriate application access;
- Analyze, troubleshoot, and resolve Windows server issues with minimal impact on users;
- Analyze, troubleshoot, and resolve Linux server issues with minimal impact on users;
- Write PowerShell scripts to be used to monitor server properties and perform Active Directory and Azure management activities;
- Research and recommend appropriate technical solutions to meet functional requirements;
- Provide recommendations for possible process improvements within the Department's infrastructure team;
- Create schedules for the development and implementation of specific software systems; and
- Perform additional Systems Administrator tasks as required by the Department
