Fractional CTO (US-based, Remote) – Late Co-Founder Track

We are seeking a Fractional CTO (late co-founder track), US-based, to join our team on a part-time basis. This role is ideal for a hands-on technical leader with startup experience who is ready to scale a growing engineering team and eventually step into a full-time co-founder position in 2026.
Gabeo.ai is a fast-growing, venture-backed health technology startup partnering with leading healthcare organizations. We have paying customers, enterprise pilots, and a team of 10 engineers in place. We are now looking for a technical leader to drive execution, mentor the team, and help us scale our AI-driven products.
Position: Fractional CTO (Late Co-Founder Track)
Location: Remote (US-based only)
Employment type: Part-time now, path to full-time & co-founder in 2026
Responsibilities:
• Lead and mentor a team of 10 engineers across ML, full-stack, and infra
• Be hands-on with Python, GCP, ML/LLMs, AI agents, and full-stack builds
• Drive technical architecture and execution of customer-facing products
• Collaborate with founders on product roadmap and scaling strategy
• Ensure delivery of production-ready systems with startup-level speed
Qualifications:
• 5+ years in startup engineering or technical leadership roles
• Hands-on execution (you still code, debug, and ship)
• Strong background in GCP, Python, machine learning, LLMs, and full-stack development
• Bonus: healthcare billing or revenue cycle experience
• Entrepreneurial mindset with ambition to step into a co-founder role
