As a Systems Administrator, you will play a crucial role in the performance, security, and reliability of our organization’s IT infrastructure. Your day-to-day responsibilities will include managing server and network performance, troubleshooting infrastructure issues, performing system upgrades, and designing solutions to optimize and secure our technology ecosystem. Additionally, you will serve as the backup for the Network Administrator, providing critical coverage when needed.
Essential Job Functions
- Manage and maintain the Microsoft Intune implementation.
- Package and support third-party applications.
- Contribute to infrastructure improvement projects.
- Troubleshoot network and infrastructure reliability challenges.
- Administer Active Directory (AD)/Azure AD, M365, Veeam, Print Server, Group Policy, and network security solutions.
- Deploy and manage virtual machines (VMs) using VMWare/ProxMox.
- Oversee data center hosts and storage solutions.
- Monitor backups and execute recovery/disaster recovery processes.
- Review system health, logs, and activity to ensure optimal performance.
- Collaborate with vendors regarding infrastructure and VoIP systems.
- Conduct daily SIEM monitoring and analysis.
- Perform firmware updates and system upgrades as needed.
- Respond to Level 2 (L2) help desk requests and user inquiries.
- Maintain technical documentation and software/hardware knowledge bases.
- Provide end-user training and technical support.
Other duties as assigned to ensure smooth operations.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field OR equivalent experience.
- 5+ years of experience
- Foundational understanding of Active Directory, Azure Active Directory, split-zone DNS, routing, firewalls and wireless technologies, messaging systems, virtual technologies, and remote access technologies
- Proven technical, analytical, data collection and problem-solving skills
- Exceptional customer service skills
