What You’ll Do
- Optimize and implement stateful gating algorithms that push AI capabilities beyond conventional deep learning models, including LLMs.
- Lead research and development of next-generation AI models, from conceptual design to production deployment at scale.
- Create impactful products.
- Architect and optimize distributed training and inference pipelines, leveraging curriculum learning for large-scale customer support applications.
- Collaborate across machine learning, systems engineering, and applied research teams to deliver innovative AI solutions.
- Drive both strategic direction and hands-on execution in a fast-paced, high-impact startup environment.
What You Bring
- Ability to learn quickly and master novel machine learning concepts.
- Strong intuition for market opportunities and timing; knowing what to prioritize now vs. later.
- Rapid prototyping mindset: able to turn ideas into experiments quickly.Can architect systems from scratch, including novel or experimental approaches.
- Can attract, inspire, and retain top-tier talent in high-pressure environments.
- Ability to delegate but also step in where necessary.
- Build a culture of speed, experimentation, and resilience
- Proven track record of advancing AI technology.
- Expertise in PyTorch and other Python ML libraries; capable of implementing algorithms from scratch for GPU execution.
- Comfort with ambiguity, balancing independent innovation with collaborative execution.
- PhD in Machine Learning, AI, Computer Science, or a related field is a plus.
- A strong research publication record in top-tier conferences and journals is a plus.
- Entrepreneurship mindset
- Hands-on experience with scaling machine learning systems across distributed infrastructure (preferred).
- Ability to write optimized CUDA functions in C++ (a plus).
- Experience with large language models, transformer architectures, and customer-facing AI solutions (a plus).
