Key Responsibilities:
- Architect and maintain Cohesity backup infrastructure for reliability, scalability, and performance.
- Automate backup operations, including protection group creation/deletion and GitHub-based infrastructure changes.
- Collaborate with security teams to implement robust data protection measures (DLP, insider threat mitigation, access controls).
- Monitor and optimize backup server performance, usage patterns, and SLA metrics to ensure system reliability.
- Design and maintain backup and recovery procedures to support business continuity and threat resilience.
- Analyze system capacity and performance trends to forecast future infrastructure needs and guide investment decisions.
- Perform routine maintenance including patches, upgrades, and enhancements to ensure system health and compliance.
Required Skills & Experience:
- 7+ years of experience in enterprise backup and recovery, preferably in large-scale environments.
- Hands-on experience with Cohesity backup solutions.
- Proficient in Windows Server and Linux Server administration.
- Strong automation mindset with expertise in PowerShell, Python, and Ansible.
- Experience with GitHub and CI/CD pipelines for infrastructure code management.
- Excellent collaboration and communication skills—must be a team player with a positive attitude.
Preferred Skills:
- Advanced automation experience using scripting and orchestration tools.
- Familiarity with infrastructure-as-code and DevOps practices.
- Experience in performance tuning and capacity planning for backup systems.
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field preferred.
