GENERAL OVERVIEW
The System Administrator is primarily responsible for supporting our customer-facing and -supporting environments’ infrastructure. Some advanced technical experience is necessary, but more importantly, this should be an individual who is eager to learn, highly customer focused, patient, an effective communicator, self-initiating, has a positive attitude, and is able to prioritize and execute tasks in a timely fashion.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Core duties and responsibilities include the following:
- Embodies Metrc’s Leadership Principles
- Manage Service Requests, Incidents, and Problems through a ticketing system
- Help ensure day-to-day operations of customer Infrastructure
- Answer inbound service calls as necessary
- Understand PowerShell scripting, automating, monitoring, and alerting
- Advanced troubleshooting and administration of Windows-based applications, Operating Systems (Desktop and Server), and Server Roles (AD DS, DHCP, DNS, DFS, Print Server, File Server, Terminal Server, IIS, etc.)
- Administer and troubleshoot database technologies/software
- Perform advanced troubleshooting of Wi-Fi/Network
- Participate in an after-hours On Call rotation
- May perform other additional duties and responsibilities as assigned
QUALIFICATIONS- KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, & ABILITIES
- Bachelor's degree (B.A.) from four-year college or equivalent experience.
- One to two years of systems administration experience.
- Experience with managing Azure VMs and working In the Azure portal
- Experience with various Microsoft Office products, applications, and services
- Proficient with the O365 portal and Microsoft’s Entra ID
- Experience with PowerShell
- Experience with Microsoft IT infrastructure standards and practices.
