JOB SCOPE/RESPONSIBILITIES - Supports and contributes to the secure and effective provisioning, installation, configuration, operation, and maintenance of critical Information Systems infrastructure. Essential activities include systems and software support, system maintenance, problem management, writing and maintaining technical documentation and participating in department and organization level projects. Deliver Service Desk support and assist with tasks in addition to assigned duties. Monitors and tracks issues in Service Desk ticketing platform as required. Assists with escalations from other team members and provides mentoring to less experienced team members.
EXPERIENCE/MINIMUM EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS -
Requires a minimum of 6-8 years of experience and training in computer technology as well as providing internal and/or external customer technical support and service. Hands on networking experience required including ACL’s, routing and switching, NAC, SD-WAN, 802.1x, firewall management, IPSEC and remote access VPN’s, and security tools. Technology specific experience and certifications related to Cloud, Virtualization, Networking, Security, (e.g. Azure, Cisco, Microsoft, Nutanix, VMWare, Zscaler, etc.) is preferred. Bachelor's degree in the field of technology is preferred, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/ABILITIES - Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills and effective interpersonal skills including being professional, approachable and maintaining a positive demeanor. Must be able to master new computer technology and to identify, troubleshoot and resolve a wide range of technical computer and software related problems. Must be well organized with the ability to work well collectively and autonomously in a fast-paced environment handling multiple tasks and priorities
