About the Role
The overall purpose of the Systems Administrator role is to ensure the effective operation, security, and management of the organization's IT infrastructure, with a focus on Microsoft 365 and related cloud technologies. The position is responsible for maintaining user access, device management, and compliance, while supporting collaboration and continuous improvement within the IT department. By proactively managing systems and resolving issues, the Systems Administrator helps enable reliable and secure technology services for business operations.
Key Responsibility
Identity & Access Management
- Manage user and group lifecycle—including provisioning, deprovisioning, and licensing—within the Microsoft 365 Admin Center.
- Synchronize identities between on-premises Active Directory and Azure AD using Azure AD Connect.
- Manage hybrid identity solutions and single sign-on configurations.
Device & Endpoint Management
- Design, implement, and maintain Intune Mobile Device Management (MDM) policies and profiles for Windows, iOS, and Android.
Security & Compliance
- Configure and enforce security access control policies in Microsoft 365.
- Action any compliance-related events on Microsoft 365 Platform.
Infrastructure Operations & Collaboration
- Maintain and troubleshoot on-premises Active Directory infrastructure (domain controllers, Group Policy, DNS, DHCP) across multi-domain environments.
- Monitor service health and performance metrics across Microsoft 365 services; generate and present status reports to stakeholders.
- Collaborate with cross-functional IT teams to drive continuous improvement and align Microsoft 365 solutions with evolving business requirements.
Qualifications
Education Minimum Required:
- College Diploma or University Degree
Preferred:
- A program in Information Systems or equivalent

Experience Minimum Required:
Preferred:
- 4 years of System Administration
Job Specific Skills Minimum Required:
- Must be team-oriented.
- Must have and maintain an appropriate and valid Driver’s license. Use of own vehicle is an asset.
- Sound interpersonal skills with the ability to work with minimal supervision.
Preferred:
- Familiar with administration scripting languages (i.e. PowerShell, JSON, ARM Templates).
- Familiar with operating system virtualization (i.e. Windows 10, Windows Server 2019, Azure, VMWare ESXi and vCenter).
- Management of Microsoft environment (Teams, M365 Admin center, Azure portal, Exchange online, Entra ID).
- Experience with automation and integration of services.
