What You’ll Do
In this role, you’ll make an impact through strategic product ownership and collaboration across data and AI teams. You’ll help drive the direction of an AI initiative handling large-scale, sensitive data.
Key Responsibilities:
- Own and manage the product backlog and near-term roadmap; ensure priorities are well-defined, groomed, and aligned to business goals.
- Lead and facilitate Agile ceremonies, track team velocity, and identify process efficiencies across pods.
- Write, refine, and prioritize user stories for complex data-driven applications, ensuring they align with stakeholder needs and technical realities.
- Collaborate with developers, data engineers, and AI teams to define requirements and make informed trade-offs for timely, high-quality delivery.
- Conduct product performance monitoring, define key metrics, and analyze data to inform product decisions.
- Gather and interpret customer and business insights to guide roadmap prioritization and product enhancements.
- Contribute to product strategy and planning, helping to shape short-term and long-term objectives.
- Maintain strong documentation practices, particularly for data-heavy and compliance-focused environments.
What We’re Looking For
- Proven experience as a Product Owner or Product Manager in data-intensive environments (Finance, Healthcare, or Government strongly preferred).
- Senior-level user story writing skills and ability to manage complex product backlogs.
- Deep understanding of data products, testing, security, and compliance considerations.
- Experience collaborating with AI/ML teams or familiarity with AI-driven product management approaches.
- Excellent communication and documentation skills.
- Experience driving digital product development end-to-end.
- Ability to thrive in a dynamic, multi-hat environment and pivot between strategy, execution, and delivery as needed.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in the financial industry or other regulated data environments.
- Exposure to AI tools or workflows (professional or personal enthusiasm counts if you meet other criteria).
