The General Counsel will partner closely with the executive leadership team and board to provide strategic guidance on all legal and regulatory matters, ensuring compliance while enabling speed and scalability. The right candidate will bring strong experience navigating the evolving healthcare regulatory landscape, a deep understanding of PHI and data privacy, and hands-on expertise in employment law, digital care delivery, and compliance frameworks.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead all legal, compliance, and risk management functions across the organization
- Provide counsel on healthcare regulations, data protection, employment, and corporate governance
- Develop and oversee policies to ensure adherence to HIPAA, PHI, and digital health compliance standards
- Partner with leadership to support strategic initiatives, partnerships, and expansion activities
- Manage all contracts, licensing, and corporate filings, ensuring efficient processes and sound legal standing
- Serve as a trusted advisor to the CEO and executive team on strategic growth and operational decision-making
Ideal Profile
- 10+ years of progressive legal experience, preferably within healthcare, health tech, or a high-growth environment
- Proven ability to interpret and apply complex healthcare regulatory frameworks
- Deep understanding of digital health operations, PHI management, and data privacy law
- Demonstrated experience with employment law, compliance, and scaling organizations
- Strategic, pragmatic thinker who can balance risk with business goals and growth objectives
