Network Engineer – Job Description
We are seeking a skilled Network Engineer to support the configuration, installation, evaluation, monitoring, and troubleshooting of enterprise network environments. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with Cisco networking technologies and a strong understanding of LAN/WAN infrastructure.
Responsibilities
- Configure, install, evaluate, monitor, and troubleshoot Cisco IOS and NX-OS switches.
- Perform code upgrades on Cisco devices and ensure proper version compatibility across the environment.
- Support the configuration, installation, evaluation, monitoring, and troubleshooting of Local Area Networks (LAN).
- Support the configuration, installation, evaluation, monitoring, and troubleshooting of Wide Area Networks (WAN).
- Identify the root causes of network issues using diagnostic testing software, tools, and structured problem-solving methods.
- Provide technical assistance during network outages, performance issues, or equipment failures.
- Maintain documentation related to network configurations, topology, and procedures.
Requirements
- Hands-on experience with Cisco IOS and NX-OS switches.
- Ability to upgrade and manage code versions on Cisco devices.
- Strong knowledge of LAN and WAN technologies, protocols, and best practices.
- Experience identifying network problems using diagnostic tools and software.
- Solid troubleshooting and analytical skills with a methodical approach to problem resolution.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with technical teams.
