About the RoleWe are seeking a motivated Jr. Systems Administrator to join our IT team in Ocoee, FL. In this role, you’ll assist in maintaining and supporting the organization’s server, storage, and backup infrastructure while gaining hands-on experience in virtualization, system patching, and Active Directory management.
This is an on-site position (5 days a week) — ideal for a technically skilled professional eager to grow in systems administration, cloud technologies, and enterprise IT operations.
Key Responsibilities- Support daily operations of Windows servers, storage systems, and virtualization platforms (VMware, Hyper-V).
- Perform system updates, patching, and backup maintenance to ensure reliability and security.
- Manage user accounts, groups, and Group Policy through Active Directory.
- Help configure and maintain core services including DNS, DHCP, DFS, and Certificates.
- Document procedures, configurations, and troubleshooting steps.
- Monitor system health and assist in troubleshooting hardware and software issues.
- Participate in disaster recovery testing, infrastructure projects, and on-call rotation.
- Travel occasionally to remote sites for support or equipment deployment.
Qualifications- Associate’s Degree or Technical Certification in Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent experience).
- 3+ years of IT experience in technical support, help desk, or junior system administration roles.
- Hands-on experience with Windows Server, Active Directory, and virtualization technologies (VMware or Hyper-V).
- Familiarity with backup tools, monitoring systems, and basic networking concepts.
- Strong communication, documentation, and problem-solving skills.
- Eagerness to learn and expand knowledge in cloud platforms, automation, and system administration best practices.
Preferred Skills- PowerShell scripting basics
- Experience with monitoring and alerting tools
- Understanding of DNS, DHCP, and core networking services
- Experience using service desk ticketing systems
