Overview
TransitAmerica Services, Inc. is currently seeking a
Network Administrator in
San Jose, CA to join our team.
The pay range for this position is $94,200 - $110,800 annually.
Duties And Responsibilities
- This is a non-exhaustive overview of the job duties for this position.
- Directs operation and maintenance of OT network environment to include but not limited to the following:
- Fiber Optic backbone switch and router equipment
- LAN/WAN network equipment and circuits
- SCADA Communication network
- Positive Train Control (PTC) network
- Carrier cellular network and WiFi
- Configuration and optimization of Solarwinds (NMS) network monitoring system.
- Triage network configuration error reports to responsible departments.
- Monitoring and ensuring on-site safety compliance, cleanliness, and orderliness.
- Placing orders for materials and being responsible for equipment and material on site.
- Studies and recommend improvements to network environment.
- Ensure preventative maintenance and emergency outage goals are resolved in an efficient manner.
- Inventory responsibilities for all network equipment.
- Identify complex problems and review related information to develop and evaluate options and implement solutions.
- Regular and consistent engagement, participation and promotion of Herzog’s Culture and its essential behaviors are a requirement for this position.
- Regular and predictable attendance and punctuality are a requirement for this position.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- High School diploma or equivalent.
- Proven managerial and leadership skills
- On-Track-Safety (OTS); General Code of Operating Rules (GCOR) preferred
- Expertise with the use of network equipment and fundamental knowledge of telecommunication systems (OSI model)
Pre-Employment Requirements
- Subject to pre-employment background check and motor vehicle report review.
- Maintain a valid driver's license and endorsement as required per position.
- Subject to pre-employment physical, medical evaluation, and drug screen.
- Successfully complete and maintain any required safety certification and testing on an annual basis.
