The Role
The Chief of Staff to the CTO is responsible for operationalising the entire RnD organisation.
Your job is to turn the CTO’s direction into a coordinated execution engine across product, engineering, data, AI, and internal agent development. You will ensure RnD moves at high velocity, operates with clarity, and delivers consistently on what the business needs.
This is not an administrative role. This is a technical operator role for someone who understands product and engineering environments and wants to help build one of the most advanced AI work platforms in the world.
The purpose of this role is clear
- Give the CTO leverage across every part of RnD
- Build the operating system that allows technical teams to scale
- Create the discipline, coordination, and speed required for hyperscale
- Ensure the organisation executes with the precision of a Formula One pit stop team
- This role suits two types of individuals:
-A high performing startup operator who wants broader scope and responsibility.
-A top tier strategy consultant who wants to move from planning to building and operating.
What You Will Own
- Running the RnD operating rhythm including weekly reviews, reporting, and cross team planning
- Driving execution across product, engineering, data, and AI workstreams
- Ensuring clarity of priorities, trade offs, timelines, and dependencies
- Sequencing work and ensuring delivery aligns with business priorities
- Building systems for velocity including planning frameworks, sprint discipline, and internal automation
- Embedding AI enabled workflows inside RnD so the team operates with leverage
- Managing special projects that sit outside standard RnD functions
- Creating transparency across the organisation around RnD progress and risks
- Supporting the CTO on strategy, resource planning, and organisational design
- Building the connective tissue between RnD and other parts of the company
- This role is about technical execution, cross functional alignment, and operational leadership.

You must enjoy fast environments, direct communication, and working in partnership with a high output technical founder.

Minimum Requirements
- Experience in a high performance product, engineering, or technical strategy environment
- For example product operations, engineering operations, technical consulting, or high growth technical startups
- Evidence of driving execution across complex or technical workstreams
- Ability to operate with clarity in ambiguous and fast moving contexts
- Strong analytical and communication skills
- Familiarity with AI or modern software development
- Comfort with structured planning, reporting, and operating frameworks
- A builder mindset and bias for action

180000 to 210000 USD
