We are looking for a highly skilled Systems Administrator with deep expertise in Windows Server infrastructure and Active Directory management, complemented by solid experience in Linux system administration. The role will focus primarily on Windows (approximately 80%) while maintaining responsibility for Linux systems (20%).
Primary Responsibilities (Windows – 80%)
- Design, implement, and maintain Windows Server environments (2016/2019/2022) in enterprise-scale deployments.
- Administer Active Directory, including OU design, Group Policy Objects (GPO), DNS, DHCP, and Kerberos authentication.
- Manage domain controllers, replication, and schema updates.
- Perform advanced troubleshooting using Event Viewer, PowerShell scripting, and diagnostic tools.
- Ensure compliance with security baselines (CIS, NIST) and implement patch management via WSUS/Configuration Manager.
- Support high-availability clusters, failover configurations, and disaster recovery strategies.
Secondary Responsibilities (Linux – 20%)
- Administer Linux servers (RHEL, CentOS, Ubuntu) for application hosting and infrastructure services.
- Perform system hardening, patching, and configuration management using tools like Ansible.
- Manage user accounts, permissions, and SSH key-based authentication.
- Troubleshoot performance issues using system logs, journalctl, and network diagnostic tools.
- Implement shell scripting (Bash) for automation and maintenance tasks.
Required Skills & Experience
- Windows Server: Advanced knowledge of AD DS, DNS, DHCP, Group Policy, and PKI.
- Linux Administration: Proficiency in CLI-based management, package management (yum/apt), and systemd services.
- Virtualization: VMware vSphere and/or Hyper-V experience.
- Networking: Strong understanding of TCP/IP, VLANs, firewalls, and routing.
- Automation & Scripting: PowerShell and Bash; experience with configuration management tools.
- Security: Familiarity with hardening practices, vulnerability remediation, and compliance frameworks.
- Monitoring: Experience with tools like WhatsUp Gold, Nagios, or SolarWinds.
