Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and technically skilled Yardi System Administrator to support, maintain, and optimize our Yardi Voyager environment across a large multifamily portfolio. This role sits at the intersection of operations, accounting, and light IT support, ensuring that our internal teams have a smooth, reliable, and fully optimized Yardi experience.
The ideal candidate has a strong understanding of accounting workflows, excellent Excel skills, and the ability to think logically through system processes. Experience with SQL coding is a major plus, but not required.
Key ResponsibilitiesYardi System Administration (Primary – ~90%)
· Serve as the organization’s primary point of contact for Yardi Voyager configuration, troubleshooting, permissions management, and workflow optimization.
· Maintain user roles, permissions, approval workflows, and security groups to ensure data integrity and proper segregation of duties.
· Create, manage, and optimize custom reports, including Yardi reporting tools and SQL-based reports (if experienced).
· Audit Yardi data for accuracy, completeness, and consistency across vendors, tenants, units, GL accounts, POs, invoices, work orders, budgets, and more.
· Manage VendorShield, VendorCafe, RENTCafé, Yardi Marketplace, and other integrated modules.
· Partner with Accounting to ensure rent rolls, GL transactions, bank reconciliations, vendor onboarding, invoice workflows, and month-end close processes run smoothly.
· Support Property Managers and Field Managers on Yardi usage and questions.
· Coordinate with the external MSP and Yardi support for escalated issues.
· Assist with system upgrades, testing environments, new module rollouts, and SOP documentation.
IT Support (Secondary – ~10%)
· Provide basic in-office hardware support (printers, network cables, workstation setup, device troubleshooting).
· Act as onsite liaison with our remote IT provider for software and network issues.
· Track and maintain office hardware inventory (laptops, monitors, printers, routers, mobile devices).
QualificationsRequired
· Experience working with Yardi Voyager in an administrative, accounting, or operational capacity.
· Strong Excel skills (VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, pivot tables, data validation, formatting).
· Understanding of accounting basics (GL, AP, AR, budgets, cash receipts, accruals).
· High attention to detail and strong analytical/problem-solving abilities.
· Ability to explain technical processes clearly to non-technical staff.
· Excellent organizational and communication skills.
· Ability to work on-site full time.
Preferred
· Experience with Yardi system administration, database structures, or report writing.
· SQL knowledge (reading queries, basic query writing).
· Experience in multifamily rent-stabilized property management or real estate accounting.
· Prior exposure to system integrations or API-based workflows.
