Knowledge of:
• Advanced systems administration and maintenance practices for both Windows Server and Linux environments.
• Installation, configuration, and troubleshooting of infrastructure hardware and software across physical, virtual, and cloud platforms.
• Enterprise storage systems including SAN, NAS, iSCSI, Fiber Channel, and storage management platforms.
• Network integration and protocols including TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, SMB, NFS, and LDAP.
• Local and distributed computing environments, including hybrid cloud infrastructure and virtualization (e.g., VMware, Hyper-V).
• Operating system commands, utilities, and shell environments for administrative tasks and automation.
• Backup, replication, and disaster recovery strategies for critical systems and data.
Skill in:
• Designing, deploying, and supporting enterprise storage and server infrastructure to ensure performance, availability, and scalability.
• Installing, configuring, and maintaining servers, workstations, and peripheral equipment in enterprise environments.
• Managing user accounts, permissions, and access control across Windows Active Directory and Linux-based systems.
• Supporting a wide range of enterprise applications and middleware across platforms.
• Troubleshooting and resolving complex hardware, software, and storage-related issues.
• Writing and maintaining scripts in administrative languages such as PowerShell, Bash, Python, Perl, or VBScript.
• Using database management tools for system integration, reporting, and performance tracking.
• Following and facilitating structured change management processes for system upgrades and deployments.
• Testing and validating hardware/software for enhancements, upgrades, and new installations.
• Planning, constructing, or modifying programs and scripts to support system performance monitoring and reporting.

OPEN REQUIREMENTS:
Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Computer Science or related discipline and four (4) yrs of professional experience in a network administration role in a large corporate environment

Eight (8) year combination of education, training and experience in installing, supporting, and maintaining network systems in a large corporate environment.
