We are seeking an experienced System Administrator for a direct-hire role at a growing company. This role offers competitive benefits, including a 401(k) match. Reporting to the IT Manager, you will support organization-wide systems, infrastructure, networking, and end users while helping maintain a secure and reliable environment.
What You’ll Do
- Install, configure, and maintain hardware, operating systems, enterprise software, and networking devices.
- Perform ongoing health and performance monitoring for servers, networks, and cloud services; proactively diagnose and resolve issues.
- Administer and support O365, Azure, and Exchange environments, including user setup, permissions, and resource management.
- Implement and manage security protocols including access control, firewalls, endpoint protection, and routine security audits.
- Contribute to vulnerability management, including scanning, prioritizing findings, coordinating remediation, and implementing best practices.
- Manage user identities, permissions, and access rights to ensure secure resource allocation.
- Provide Tier 1–2 support for hardware, software, network, and cloud issues, ensuring timely and effective resolution.
- Plan and implement upgrades, patches, and updates for systems, cloud services, and infrastructure.
- Maintain up-to-date documentation on configurations, processes, troubleshooting procedures, and system inventories.
- Develop, implement, and routinely test backup and disaster recovery procedures.
- Administer and maintain network infrastructure including routers, switches, VPNs, and firewalls; collaborate with vendors as needed.
- Support structured cabling needs, including basic troubleshooting and coordination for installations or upgrades.
- Manage cloud-based resources and permissions across platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud (Azure is preferred).
- Work cross-functionally with IT and other departments to deploy technology solutions and support ongoing operations.
- Stay current on emerging technologies and best practices in system administration, security, virtualization, and cloud infrastructure.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in system administration with emphasis on servers, networks, cloud services, and user management.
- Hands-on experience with O365 administration (including user management, security, and integrations).
- Azure administration experience, including identity management, virtual machines, policies, and resource configuration.
- Experience with Exchange (on-prem, hybrid, or cloud).
- Strong understanding of firewalls, VPNs, and network security principles.
- Knowledge of vulnerability management practices and security frameworks.
- Familiarity with structured cabling standards and troubleshooting.
- Proficiency with Windows Server, Linux systems, network protocols, and virtualization tools.
- Excellent analytical, troubleshooting, and documentation skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal abilities; able to work both independently and collaboratively.
