General Function
Role assesses system requirements and specifications, develops system architecture, and translates them into functional architecture. The role will work as a member of the IT Operation to provide both operational and project services to a vast user base. Provide operational support services across a range of technologies. Expertise in Systems Administration, AWS, Tanium, Intune, Microsoft 365, Storage, and Virtualization are core to this role. In addition to operational and support duties this individual will evaluate, recommend, and implementing new technologies as well as serve as tier 3 escalation support.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities

- Oversees the company’s internal infrastructure including data centers, networks, telephony, storage and end user computing
- As part of a technology team, perform server administration across a mixed OS environment (Linux and Windows)
- Provides support in problem prevention and resolution for complex infrastructure issues for enterprise infrastructure groups
- Manage and optimize AWS infrastructure including EC2, S3, VPC, IAM, and backups to ensure availability, performance, and security
- Automate deployments and maintenance using scripting and Infrastructure-as-Code tools like CloudFormation or Terraform
- Monitor, secure, and support cloud systems through performance tuning, patching, incident response, and compliance alignment
- Administer and maintain endpoint management platforms such as Tanium to ensure secure configuration, patch compliance, and real-time visibility across all servers and workstations
- Manage Microsoft 365 and Azure AD administration, including user accounts, groups, permissions, and policy configuration to maintain secure and efficient operations
- Drive resolution of high-severity outages impacting IT infrastructure
- Proven experience managing Linux and Windows servers, automation scripting (Python, PowerShell, or Bash)
- Familiarity with NIST, SOC 2, or PCI standards and implementation of least-privilege access controls
- Work closely with business partners to include their business and technical decisions and prioritize initiatives through key business cycles
- Participates in IT strategy planning activities, bringing a current knowledge and future vision of infrastructure technology solutions/service to infuse best practices (e.g. ITIL and others) as related to the needs of the business
Supervisory Responsibilities
Minimum Knowledge, Skills And Abilities Required - Bachelor of Science in Computer Science (or similar technical discipline) or equivalent work experience
- 5+ years of experience supporting technical infrastructure environments
- Certifications and experience recommended:
- Cloud and Infrastructure: Proxmox, VMWare, AWS: Cloud Practitioner, Solutions Architect, CloudOps Engineer, Solutions Architect
- Systems and Networking: CompTIA Network+, CompTIA Server+, Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA)
- Security and Compliance: CompTIA Security+, Microsoft Certified: Security Operations Analyst Associate, (Optional advanced) – CISSP or CISM for those moving into security administration or governance
- ITIL Certified or equivalent demonstrable experience

Travel
Occasional travel required to company sites across the U.S. and Canada (approximately 10–25%), primarily for executive support, infrastructure projects, site maintenance, or system upgrades.
