Description
SAIC is seeking
Network Administrators to join the Machine-assisted Analytic Rapid-repository System (MARS) Advanced Development Operations (DevOps) and Sustainment Support (ADOS) program and provide on-site technical and administrative support to facilitate operations of critical MARS infrastructure and services. This effort focuses on providing a comprehensive set of System/ Software Engineering and IT Services to maintain, sustain, enhance, and improve/ modernize MARS. This position will be located in the National Capital Region.
Please note that this is contingent upon contract award, with an anticipated decision expected by Winter/ Spring 2026.
The
Network Administrator responsibilities include, but are not limited to
- Manages the design, implementation, and maintenance of complex, secure network systems critical to MARS
- Ensures optimal network performance and reliability through proactive monitoring and precise tuning
- Leads troubleshooting and resolution of advanced network issues, adhering to strict security protocols
- Designs and enforces comprehensive network security policies and procedures
- Collaborates with IT and intelligence teams on network projects to ensure seamless integration
- Provides mentorship and expert guidance to junior administrators
- Remains current with the latest networking technologies and best practices to drive continuous improvement and innovation within MARS
Qualifications
- Active TS/SCI with Polygraph
- One of the following certifications CompTIA Security+, CompTIA Network+, CEH, Cloud+, SecurityX/ CASP+, Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA), CCNP Security, CCSP, GSEC, Certified Network Defender (CND)
- Bachelors degree in IT, Cybersecurity, Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Science, or Software Engineering and 9 years or more relevant experience (will consider an additional 4+ years of relevant experience in lieu of degree)
- Extensive experience in leading network administration, optimizing network performance, and implementing network security measures
- Proficiency in managing complex network environments, configuring advanced routing protocols, and ensuring high availability
- Strong understanding of network segmentation, VPNs, and load balancing
Target salary range $120,001 - $160,000. The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.
