Job Description
- Manage incremental software releases for web and mobile applications, in coordination with stakeholders including application developers, product management, DevOps, production support, and change management.
- Ensure that guidelines and technology change standards are maintained when introducing application and infrastructure changes, including release prep calls, production readiness checklists, and L3 production support.
- Collaborate with application teams and technology / business partners in root cause analysis of production incidents, including long-term remediation efforts [E.g. database and application library upgrades].
- Assist with improving infrastructure resiliency in day-to-day engineering operations.
- Evaluate (and rewrite) automated tests to increase coverage and reduce error rates in coordination with application developers & quality engineers across teams.
- Assess state existing test automation, and prepare roadmap of future improvements in quality engineering through proof-of-concepts / pilot initiatives.
- Act as a point person in release reporting and compliance activities, including internal audits and responding to regulatory requests.
Additional Information
- Top Skills:
- Five (5+) years of experience in software engineering or quality assurance, including significant experience in handling production releases for web and mobile applications.
- Expertise in industry-standard test automation frameworks, including (but not limited to) Selenium, RSpec, Cucumber, TestNG, and Appium.
- Deep familiarity with continuous integration tools, modern deployment practices (blue/green & canary releases), DevOps toolchains (E.g., GitHub, Jenkins, JFrog), and software planning tools (E.g., JIRA, Confluence, Azure DevOps).
