JOB PURPOSE:
The purpose of this position is to increase both the number and diversity of students enrolling in Graduate School programs, through individual outreach and peer communication. The Graduate Student Ambassador plays a pivotal role in sharing a student’s perspective of what makes our programs unique and what it’s like to attend the graduate school. Please see 'Prerequisites for Eligibility'

PREREQUISITES FOR ELIGIBILITY:
Must be comfortable having photo, name, and bio published on GSEC website and in promotional materials and communications
Must be comfortable creating and/or appearing in video to be posted on our website and other media platforms.
Must be comfortable with public speaking and sharing about the student experience.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Support the offices of Admissions and Student Support Services and Marketing & Communications in our recruitment, outreach, and onboarding efforts, including, but not limited to:
Leading campus tours for prospective and admitted students
Utilizing Slate to communicate with and outreach prospective students
Meeting individually with prospective students as requested via Zoom, phone, or in-person
Co-facilitating student-led recruitment and onboarding events over Zoom and in-person: Ask a Student, Application Support Nights, Admitted Student Events, and Incoming Student Next Steps
Supporting the design of recruitment and onboarding content in collaboration with other Student Ambassadors and Admissions staff
Representing the Graduate School at admissions recruitment events such as info sessions and tabling (over Zoom, on-campus, and/or at other colleges)
Creating written testimonials to represent the advantages of your program for posting on our website, virtual tour, and other media platforms
Appearing in promotional photos and videos for the graduate school as needed for use on our website, publications, and other media platforms
Attending monthly Student Ambassador meetings
Supporting special projects as need and as capacity allows related to communications, recruitment, and student onboarding

Eligibility to Work
