Responsibilities

We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Senior IT Auditor to join our Internal Audit team within a dynamic financial services organization, who thrives in a fast-paced environment and adapts easily to change. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading and executing risk-based IT audits across infrastructure, applications, cybersecurity, and IT operations. This role requires a strong understanding of technology risks in the financial services industry and experience evaluating IT controls to ensure regulatory compliance, operational efficiency, and data protection. In addition, this candidate will bring internal audit and financial services experiences to deliver audit assurance and help innovate the function’s methods, tools, and assurance capabilities.

What you will be doing:

Cultivate and maintain strong, collaborative relationships with Internal Audit stakeholders to improve communication, foster transparency, and ensure alignment on audit objectives, expectations, and deliverables.
Lead and independently execute IT operational audits, encompassing planning, scoping, fieldwork, and reporting phases.
Develop accurate, well-organized, and detailed audit workpapers and reports, ensuring consistency and adherence to departmental methodologies and professional auditing standards.
Evaluate the design and operating effectiveness of internal controls related to IT operational processes and ad hoc audit engagements.
Identify root causes of control deficiencies and process weaknesses, and provide actionable, risk-based recommendations to strengthen the control environment.
Track the remediation of audit issues and perform timely validation of corrective actions to confirm their effectiveness monthly.
Contribute to IT risk assessment activities through close collaboration with IT, Finance, business units, and other key stakeholders.
Stay current on emerging industry trends, regulatory changes, and IT risk management best practices to inform audit planning and execution.

Qualifications

What you will need:

Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Accounting, or a related discipline.
3–5 years of IT audit experience, including internal and/or external audits within public accounting or the financial services industry.
Solid understanding of IT risks and controls, including their impact on financial services operations and financial reporting. Familiarity with a variety of complex IT environments such as databases, servers, networks, and cloud infrastructure.
Proven experience conducting risk-based IT operational audits, applying industry-recognized frameworks such as COBIT, NIST (800 series), and ISO 27000.
Hands-on experience in infrastructure audits, cybersecurity assessments, and evaluations of IT operations.
Demonstrated ability to manage multiple assignments concurrently in a dynamic, fast-paced environment with minimal supervision.
Strong communication, analytical thinking, and problem-solving abilities.
Self-motivated with a strong ability to work independently and prioritize tasks effectively across diverse functional areas.
Strong leadership capabilities with experience driving initiatives and collaborating effectively across cross-functional teams.
Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA) or similar professional certification is preferred
Proficient in the use of GRC tools, such as AuditBoard, for managing audit workflows and issue tracking and reporting is a plus.
Ability to travel up to 10%.

Base Salary: $85,000-$100,000

The base salary range represents the low and high end of the anticipated salary range for this position based on the U.S. average. The actual base salary offered for this full-time position will be determined by various factors, including but not limited to, location, skills, knowledge, competencies, and experience.

All full-time salaried employees are eligible for the following benefits, starting on day one: Flexible Paid Time Off Program, Medical, Dental, Vision, Life Insurance, Disability, and other voluntary coverages. You will also be eligible to participate in our 401k program, starting on the first of the month following 30 days of employment with a company match.
