Clairity is seeking a Chief Technology Officer to help advance our mission of revolutionizing healthcare. With an initial focus on breast cancer screening, we will build a mammography-based machine learning platform that accurately predicts the risk of cancer, personalizes the plan of care, cultivates trust, and saves lives. We want to expand our team with someone who shares our appreciation for the rapidly evolving power of big data and machine learning, and who enjoys applying state-of-the-art algorithms to solve novel real-world healthcare problems. The CTO will drive technology strategy, planning, and execution, in collaboration with the Product, Clinical, and Operations teams, delivering innovative image-based SaaS offerings. This senior leadership role will focus on scaling the engineering function, managing direct reports, and driving agile product delivery throughout the organization.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the technology strategy (architecture, model/software development, testing, and deployment)
- Collaborate with Product, Clinical, and Operations teams to ensure technology deliverables meet business and customer objectives
- Manage talent development of the technology organization; identify and recruit to strengthen and fill critical skill dimensions of the engineering team; and manage and mentor talent to higher domain expertise and leadership capability, while maintaining the culture of the Company
- Act as a leading executive for the critical technology functions and partner closely with executives across the organization, influencing and creating effective relationships with key stakeholders
- Build a prioritized and sustainable pipeline of short, medium and long-term innovations driven by customer insights, demand, and emerging technologies
- Exceptionally high-quality bar and attention to detail
- Exceptional vendor and product management experience, with a proven track record of meeting ambitious deadlines and goals
- Track record of team building and creating a positive culture, with high morale, and reliable performance

Skills & Experience
- Ten (10) plus years of experience in healthcare software development/software engineering, including Machine Learning/Artificial Intelligence or data warehousing
- Undergraduate degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent preferred; an advanced degree in Computer Science or related field is a plus
- Experience with a diverse range of engineering skills including all aspects of the SDLC
- Foundational programming skills in Python, Java or other equivalent languages
- Extensive experience working with cloud-based computing infrastructure and big data systems
- Knowledge of major machine learning frameworks like Tensorflow, SciKit, Keras, and PyTorch and working with federated learning infrastructure
- Proven track record of excellence in leadership, communication, and project management
- Experience working on and managing projects with fast-paced delivery schedules in growth environments
- Experience managing an agile development team and has built / led a successful technology and product organization of at least 5 people
- Experience managing large technology budgets, yet still thrive and perform successfully in a startup environment; preferably at the Series A stage or later
