Chief Technology Officer (CTO) – Humanoid Robotics for Senior Living
Homy Robotics is an AI robotics company developing a general-purpose humanoid designed to enhance the quality of life for seniors. Our humanoid robots are engineered to assist with daily activities, providing support in senior living environments. We are based in San Francisco, CA, and require 5 days/week in-office collaboration.
Position Overview:
We are seeking a highly qualified Chief Technology Officer (CTO) to lead the development of our humanoid robotics platform. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in robotics, AI, and leadership, with a proven track record of delivering complex robotic systems.
Responsibilities:
- Define and execute the technological vision and strategy for our humanoid robotics platform.
- Lead and mentor a multidisciplinary team of engineers in the design, development, and deployment of humanoid robots.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate AI, perception, and control systems into the humanoid platform.
- Oversee the development of hardware and software components, ensuring they meet performance, safety, and reliability standards.
- Drive innovation in humanoid robotics, exploring new technologies and methodologies to enhance robot capabilities.
- Manage relationships with external partners, suppliers, and stakeholders to support development and deployment efforts.
Requirements:
- 5+ years of experience in robotics, AI, or related fields.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Mechanical, Biomechanical, Robotics, Mechatronics, or similar field
- Proven leadership experience in managing and scaling engineering teams.
- Expertise in humanoid robotics, including hardware design, software development, and system integration.
- Strong background in AI, machine learning, and control systems.
- Experience with perception systems, including vision, touch, and force sensing.
- Ability to define and execute a technology roadmap aligned with company goals.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across teams.
Bonus Qualifications:
- Experience in senior care or healthcare robotics applications.
- Familiarity with regulatory standards and safety protocols in robotics.
- Background in product development and commercialization of robotic systems.
