1. Wide breadth of Cloud, Data, and AI - CXO level conversations –Need to be able to go deep in on any one of the three main areas within financial domains.
2. Sales thinking to sell the TCV and go with sales to understand the customer dynamics.
3. Domain knowledge – if a customer says I have a payments platform problem. The CTO needs to know that we are dealing with a possible high volume/low latency solution in their mind. Must have the skills to speak the financial jargon and services to satisfy a solution appropriately.
Solutioning the problem is the key but need to know how to articulate that to a customer to win a project verbally.
ROLE & RESPONSIBILITIES
The Account CTO will closely associate with a client organization (account), and responsible for translating the client's business and technology problem spaces, portfolio of applications, technology standards, framework utilization and business domain requirements into specific system solution designs. This includes working with client personnel and executives to understand functional and technical problem statements, identifying patterns of issues and subsequently working with client team in identification, justification and design of solutions.
The position requires a big thinker, external facing technologist with solid knowledge, experience and background of Cloud, Containers, ML, GenAI, API paradigm, Security (IAM), deeper understanding of data platforms (Databricks), Hyperscalers (AWS, Azure) and industry standards with solid coding and design skills.
Should be very good in hands on programming using MEAN (MongoDB, Express.js, Angular, and Node.js) stack/MERN (MongoDB, Express.js, React, and Node.js) stack, Python, REST Services, Web API architecture, design and development. The CTO will establish and maintain technology standards, evaluate new technologies and provide strong PoV on technology adoption and trends. Should be able to build technology strategy and overall solution architecture for a business domain. This role requires a team player who is well versed in the medium to large-scale software development, organized, detail oriented and able to deliver results on time.
Responsibilities and Essential Functions
- Account CTO good understanding of Cloud, Container, Cognitive(AI/ML/GenAI), APIs, application architectures (server side and client side), user, functional and technical requirements
- Providing technology solutions, roadmap, architecture, patterns, design and specifications
- Work with account delivery organization to cultivate innovation, adopting technology trends embraced by client organization
- Hands on Development on AWS/Azure, Data platforms, MEAN/MERN Stack, Python, REST/JSON, Spring and API platforms.
- Architect enterprise wide systems, integration with 3rd party application integrations and SaaS applications.
- Collaborate, Lead, and Inspire other technical teams within the account
- Work closely with the customer architecture team in reviewing solutions, tools and technologies
- Lead solutioning for business problems, create/present point of view on trending technologies and actively participate in proposals and customer interactions
- Understands principles of API first design and Test-driven Development
- Actively investigate interesting new tools and techniques in the industry
- Hands on rapid prototyping/PoC experience
- Should be able to provide guidance to onsite-offshore technical team
Education and Experience Requirements
- B.S. or M.S. in Computer Science
- 15+ years of experience in professional software development
- 5+ years of experience in technical leadership role such as Enterprise architect, Solution architect
- Good knowledge of Cloud, Containers, Cloud Native platform such as Kubernetes
- Hands on experience architecting GenAI, AI/ML applications
- Knowledgeable in Java Spring, API Gateway development frameworks.
- Exposed to large enterprise wide implementations as Architect
- Strong experience in developing with user, functional and system requirements.
- Excellent communication skills
- Demonstrated ability to lead a group of engineers through the completion of all phases of a major project
- Ability to effectively interact with product managers and other organizational units such as QA and Operations
- Strong understanding of the server-side software, scalability, performance and reliability aspects
- Strong Proven Capability & track record in leading “Cutting Edge” project and strong Knowledge in latest technology trends and communication protocol & implementation.
