The Deamer Group is partnering with BuildASign in Austin, TX for a new role!
Position Overview:
This position will be responsible for IT support for employees, and the systems and applications they utilize at our multiple office and production locations. The goal of the IT team is to provide an excellent support experience for employees with a focus on resolving issues quickly and effectively. We strive to do our best at everything we do and aim to complete every task better than expected.
We are looking for someone with strong experience in networking technologies including routers, switches, and firewalls. This person can configure, deploy, monitor, and troubleshoot these devices to allow for a stable and performant network. This position will also maintain our servers, camera, and backup systems to ensure the smooth operation of our facilities
Key Responsibilities:
- Configure, deploy, and manage networking equipment including firewalls, Wi-Fi, switches, and routers.
- Maintain IT infrastructure including network, servers, and data security to ensure business continuity across office and manufacturing facilities.
- Administer Windows and Linux servers, including hardware/software upgrades and patch management.
- Monitor system performance and ensure high uptime through both proactive maintenance and responsive troubleshooting.
- Support security best practices and safeguard critical data and systems.
- Participate in our on-call rotation for after hours support.
Key Qualities and Skills:
- Proficiency in Microsoft Windows Server technologies (Active Directory, Group Policy, file sharing).
- Hands-on experience managing networking devices ( firewalls, routers, switches).
- Solid understanding of IT security principles and their application in day-to-day operations.
- Strong customer service and interpersonal skills with the ability to clearly and effectively communicate technical solutions to non-technical users.
- Analytical mindset with excellent problem-solving skills.
- Commitment to teamwork, continuous learning, and providing exceptional IT support.
Qualifications/Requirements:
- Minimum 3 years IT experience with a focus in networking.
- Proven experience supporting and maintaining networking systems (switches, firewall, routers).
- Technical proficiency in Microsoft Windows Server technologies.
- Hybrid with onsite requirement in Austin, TX.
- Must reside in Texas.
