We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Senior Vulnerability Analyst to join our tech services consulting team. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work on cutting-edge technologies and tackle complex security challenges in a fast-paced environment. The successful candidate will be responsible for identifying, analyzing, and mitigating potential vulnerabilities across our technology stack. This role requires a deep understanding of cybersecurity principles, excellent problem-solving skills, and the ability to collaborate effectively with various teams within the organization.
Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive vulnerability assessments using tools such as Nessus, Rapid7, and Crowdstrike to identify potential security risks.
- Perform incident response activities, including the investigation of security breaches and the implementation of corrective actions.
- Maintain and update the CVE Database regularly to ensure accurate tracking of known vulnerabilities.
- Utilize OWASP Top 10, CVSS, and other methodologies to prioritize and categorize vulnerabilities.
- Develop, implement, and oversee patch management processes to mitigate identified vulnerabilities.
- Collaborate with internal teams to ensure compliance with NIST, ISO, and PCI standards.
- Develop and optimize scripts using Powershell, Python, and Bash to automate routine tasks.
- Provide expert advice on endpoint security and make recommendations for improvements.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest security trends, threats, and countermeasures.
- Use cloud platforms like AWS, Azure, and GCP to deploy and manage security solutions.
- Provide training and guidance to junior team members and other stakeholders on cybersecurity best practices.
Qualifications
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in vulnerability analysis, incident response, or a related field.
- Professional certifications such as CISSP, GSEC, or GCIH are strongly preferred.
- Proficiency in using vulnerability assessment tools like Nessus, Rapid7, and Crowdstrike.
- Strong knowledge of cybersecurity standards and frameworks such as NIST, ISO, and PCI.
- Experience with scripting languages like Powershell, Python, and Bash.
- Familiarity with cloud platforms like AWS, Azure, and GCP.
- In-depth understanding of the CVE Database and the CVSS scoring system.
- Knowledge of OWASP Top 10 and other vulnerability categorization methodologies.
- Experience with endpoint security and patch management processes.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with various teams.
- A passion for cybersecurity and a commitment to staying up-to-date with the latest trends and threats.
