Job Description:
Our client is seeking an experienced System Administrator to support and expand their IT infrastructure and cloud environments. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Windows Server Administration, Azure Cloud, and DevOps tools, with hands-on experience managing enterprise systems, applications, and networks.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Support and expand client infrastructure.
- Coordinate server configuration and administration with multiple teams and contractors.
- Recommend and plan future server and software upgrades.
- Monitor systems and applications to ensure security, availability, and performance.
- Evaluate network performance issues including availability, utilization, throughput, and latency.
- Perform system monitoring, analysis, performance tuning, and troubleshooting.
- Build and manage relationships in a matrixed environment.
- Identify opportunities to improve performance, cost, and efficiency.
- Create and manage Azure DevOps projects, Git repositories, and pipelines.
- Oversee and configure Azure DevOps organizational settings.
- Recommend and assist in building and hosting complex application solutions.
- Deploy and manage Microsoft Azure or other cloud services (AWS/GCP).
- Deploy and manage Microsoft Power Platform and Microsoft 365 services.
- Provide technical support to other IT staff, including developers.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
Required Experience & Skills:
- 2–3 years experience with Windows Server 2012 R2, 2016, 2019, and 2022.
- 2–3 years of IIS Administration experience.
- 2–3 years experience in network communications (TCP/IP, DNS, Samba/CIFS file sharing, NTFS permissions).
- 2–3 years strong experience with Microsoft Azure cloud systems (highly desired).
- 2–3 years experience with AWS or GCP (preferred).
- 2–3 years professional experience in administration of Microsoft software (highly desired).
- 3–5 years of IT experience in infrastructure/network environments, system operations, support, and maintenance.
- 3–5 years experience with middleware tools such as API Management, IT Service Automation, or batch job services (preferred).
- 5–8 years total professional experience in Information Systems Engineering or a related field.
