Position Overview:
Brightstar.AI is seeking an IT/Tech Administrator to support internal technology operations and serve as a key partner to the CIO. This individual will manage daily IT operations, user support, system administration, and participate in long-term strategic planning. The role includes taking ownership of building, maintaining, and scaling IT policies and procedures across the company.
This position is ideal for someone who is technically strong, highly organized, and looking for career growth into IT leadership, systems architecture, or technical program management.
Key Responsibilities:
Daily Responsibilities
- Support the CIO with operational, administrative, and technical tasks, including scheduling, documentation, research, vendor coordination, and preparation for leadership meetings.
- Provide daily Tier 1–2 technical support for employees across hardware, software, networking, and account issues.
- Manage onboarding/offboarding processes including device setup, user accounts, permissions, and access.
- Maintain office network stability, troubleshoot connectivity issues, and manage Wi-Fi and core networking equipment.
- Track IT assets, perform device maintenance, and manage inventory lifecycle.
- Coordinate with vendors for hardware/software procurement, licensing, repairs, and renewals.
System Administration
- Administer user accounts, permissions, SSO, MFA, and internal access controls.
- Manage SaaS tools and licenses (Google Workspace, Slack, Atlassian, etc.).
- Maintain and enforce device security, endpoint management, and MDM configurations.
- Build and maintain documentation of IT processes, systems, and best practices.
Security, Compliance & Policy Development
- Develop, update, and maintain company-wide IT policies including security, acceptable use, device management, access control, and incident response.
- Support execution of cybersecurity best practices and remediation of potential vulnerabilities.
- Assist with internal audits, compliance tasks, and employee security training programs.
Strategic & CIO Support
- Conduct research and present recommendations for new tools, infrastructure improvements, and technology adoption.
- Assist the CIO with planning and executing technology roadmaps and infrastructure upgrades.
- Support technical project management, timelines, checklists, and documentation.
- Prepare reports, summaries, and operational documents for leadership review.
Qualifications And Skills
- Education: A bachelor's degree in a related field like Computer Science or Information Technology is often required.
- Experience: Min. 3 years of experience in IT support or administration.
- Technical skills: Proficiency with hardware, software, networks, and common systems like Microsoft Office.
- Problem-solving: Strong analytical and troubleshooting abilities are essential for resolving technical issues.
- Soft skills: Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills are critical for interacting with users and managing tasks.
- Other: Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a commitment to professional development and staying current with new technologies.
